Internship Experience

Internship Experience:

Did an Internship in CIDCO, City and Industrial Development Cooperation of Maharashtra, Navi Mumbai, and was placed in the planning and designing section under the Executive Engineer (EE).

The very first day it was an introduction to what actually they do in the office and what happens on the site by their commands. Readings Architectural drawings Foundation work, Design work, Drafting, and checking out the fieldwork going the same as in the paper come under this department.

They are the Structural engineers coming from Btech, Mtech, and some being Ph.D. The actual work of the Structural Engineer was seen there.

They get the Architectural drawings and the need to place the beams and the columns and check the loading on the structure. They use various software like AutoCAD, Revit, ETABS, STAAP Pro, his, etc. After the Draftsman makes working drawings that can be understood by the worker on the field.

Some Site Visit:

While we were there, they got some work for Substation, Bungalow, School, and Rehabilitation work which was to be done for the one whose land has been under the New Airport Terminal being made in Navi Mumbai.

We did a field visit at that place and got exposure to the fieldwork and looking at the Draftsman work comparing on paper and actual work. Almost 20-25 housework was going on at once a d that made us encourage to do such visits again.
Then a few days we studied the foundation works and the loading effects on the software namely Etabs and AutoCAD.

The other basin is in Sirte Basin which cover 10000 sq kilometer, third in Murzuk Basin and the last in Jabal Fezzan Basin covering 4800 sq kilometers area.  The GMR project will be used to transfer water to North of the country to provide water for irrigation purpose for more than 6 million  people.
